Welcome to my World of Education on the World Wide Web ... my e-Portfolio!
A personal view of education...
The goals of education should be to help each student obtain a good quality education. Every student not only needs to be educated but, also taught the basic skills of everyday living. As teachers, we need to prepare these students for their future lives after school.
Helping students with disabilities achieve goals and make a difference in their lives can be highly rewarding. Being a special education teacher, I will enjoy the challenge of working with these students. I will also enjoy the opportunity to establish meaningful relationships with each student, parent and all administrative employees. This career can give me an extra sense of accomplishment. Just knowing that you can make a difference in helping children learn to work through their problems will be rewarding for me. This is an emerging career with new opportunities for work opening up every year. The most rewarding part of all, will be to be a part of helping and exceptional child read a sentence, speak a word, use a spoon, sit peacefully for five minutes, draw a picture, or even give a hug. My personal goal as a teacher is to be the teacher that everyone remembers. I want to be a great encourager in my student’s lives. When I become a teacher I am going to pay close attention to my students’ lives and feelings. I want to be a motivator, friend, counselor, and teacher. I want to help my students set goals in their lives and give them encouragement and confidence to attain their goals.
